Qualified Avionics AMEs required for a permanent instructor role in Wagga Wagga, supporting aviation technical training for Australian Defence Force personnel.

This role is suited to an experienced avionics engineer who knows the regulated maintenance environment and is ready to pass that knowledge on. You do not need to already hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, provided you are willing to undertake it.

You will

Deliver aviation technical training to Defence trainees

Supervise personnel in a simulated working environment

Provide specialist avionics and aviation safety advice

Develop training material, documentation and training solutions

Maintain accurate training records

Mentor Defence aviation personnel through technical development

Essential Requirements

Required Role Experience

Demonstrated industry experience as a qualified Avionics Maintenance Engineer with significant experience in Aviation Safety Regulations.

Maintenance Qualification / Licence

Qualified Avionics Maintenance Engineer background required. Certificate IV in Aeroskills Avionics, a higher qualification, or a current CASA or EASA licence will be highly regarded.

Work Rights

Must be an Australian citizen. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Location / Availability

Role is based in Wagga Wagga, NSW. FIFO is not available. Relocation assistance may be considered on an individual basis. ASAP or short-notice availability preferred.

Additional Requirements

Must hold, or be eligible to obtain and maintain, the required Defence security clearance. Must also be eligible to satisfy applicable ITAR requirements. Candidates without Certificate IV in Training and Assessment must be willing to undertake the qualification.

Skills

Strong avionics knowledge, aviation safety regulation experience, sound documentation discipline, clear communication skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships with trainees and stakeholders.
