Sigma Aerospace College is seeking a Casual Assessor to support online assessment marking for aviation maintenance training.
This is a flexible, ongoing opportunity suited to an experienced aviation maintenance professional who holds the required Aeroskills and training qualifications and wants work that can fit around their existing availability.
Working remotely, you will assess and mark online submissions with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency and attention to detail. Approximately 5 to 40 hours may be available per week, depending on workload and your availability.
Review and mark online aviation maintenance assessments
Assess candidate submissions against approved assessment requirements
Maintain accuracy, consistency and attention to detail
Apply relevant aviation maintenance knowledge when assessing submissions
Maintain accurate assessment records and documentation
Work independently from home while meeting agreed assessment timeframes
Communicate with the Sigma Aerospace College team as required
Support the ongoing delivery of aviation maintenance training

We work across Commercial Aviation, General Aviation and Defence and understand the qualifications, technical knowledge and current industry experience required in specialist aviation roles.

You must have worked in an Australian aircraft maintenance environment within the last 5 years. Candidates currently working in industry will be highly regarded.
Diploma of Aeroskills is required, along with the relevant Statement of Attainment.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is required.
Valid Australian work rights are required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
This is a remote, work-from-home position. Approximately 5 to 40 hours per week may be available, with scheduling designed to work around the successful candidate's availability.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential.
