Sigma Aerospace Workforce is seeking an Aircraft Life Support Fitter Instructor for a permanent Defence aviation training role in Wagga Wagga, NSW.

This role is suited to an experienced Aircraft Life Support Fitter or aviation life support specialist who can train Defence aviation maintainers in a structured classroom and practical training environment.

You will

- Deliver technical training in aircraft life support equipment and related maintenance practices

- Support Defence aviation students through classroom-based and practical learning activities

- Prepare, deliver and assess training in line with approved course material

- Maintain training records, documentation and safety standards

- Work with a Defence aviation training team to support student progression and capability outcomes

Essential Requirements

Required Role Experience

Aircraft life support, aviation life support equipment, survival equipment, safety equipment or equivalent Defence aviation maintenance experience. Defence training experience will be highly regarded.

Maintenance Qualification / Licence

Relevant Aircraft Life Support Fitter qualification, aviation life support equipment qualification, or equivalent Defence aviation maintenance training background.

Work Rights

Must have Australian work rights and be able to satisfy Defence site access requirements.

Location / Availability

Must be based in Wagga Wagga, NSW, or willing to relocate for a permanent full-time role. Relocation support is available for suitable candidates.

Additional Requirements

Ability to obtain and maintain required Defence, security and site access clearances. Training and assessment experience will be highly regarded.

Skills

Strong technical knowledge of aircraft life support equipment, clear communication skills, sound documentation discipline, and the ability to deliver technical content to aviation students.

Attitude

Professional, safety-first, patient, structured, reliable and able to support students in a Defence aviation training environment.
