Sigma Aerospace Workforce is seeking a Fitter Boilermaker to support airport ground support equipment maintenance in Sydney, NSW.

This ongoing opportunity is suited to a trade-qualified fitter, boilermaker or heavy equipment maintenance professional with strong practical maintenance skills and confidence working around airport ground equipment.

You will

- Carry out maintenance, repair and rectification work on airport ground support equipment

- Support inspection, fabrication, fitting and mechanical repair tasks

- Diagnose equipment faults and assist with practical maintenance solutions

- Maintain accurate job records and follow site safety requirements

- Work safely in an airport or heavy equipment maintenance environment

Essential Requirements

Required Role Experience

Fitter, boilermaker, heavy equipment, ground support equipment, plant maintenance or similar practical maintenance experience.

Maintenance Qualification / Licence

Relevant trade qualification in fitting, boilermaking, mechanical trade, fabrication or equivalent heavy equipment maintenance discipline.

Work Rights

Must have Australian work rights.

Location / Availability

Must be based in Sydney, NSW, or available to work from Sydney Airport on an ongoing basis.

Additional Requirements

Valid ASIC or ability to obtain may be required for airport access. Current driver’s licence preferred.

Skills

Strong mechanical aptitude, fabrication and repair skills, practical fault-finding ability, accurate documentation habits, and confidence working around heavy equipment.

Attitude

Safety-first, reliable, practical, team-focused and able to work effectively in an airport ground equipment maintenance environment.
