Sigma Aerospace Workforce is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Plant Mechanic to support airport ground support equipment maintenance at Brisbane Airport.
This role is suited to a heavy vehicle, plant or ground equipment mechanic with strong practical maintenance skills and confidence working in a safety-focused airport environment.
- Carry out maintenance, inspection and repair work on airport ground support equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and equipment faults
- Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate job records and follow site safety requirements
- Work safely around airport ground equipment and operational work areas

Heavy vehicle, plant mechanic, ground support equipment, airport equipment, diesel mechanic or similar maintenance experience.
Relevant heavy vehicle, plant mechanic, diesel mechanic, mechanical trade or equivalent qualification preferred.
Must have Australian work rights.
Must be based in Brisbane, QLD, or available to work from Brisbane Airport on a day shift roster.
Forklift licence highly regarded. Valid ASIC or ability to obtain may be required for airport access. Current driver’s licence preferred.
Strong mechanical fault-finding ability, practical repair skills, sound documentation habits, and confidence working around heavy vehicle or ground support equipment.
Safety-first, reliable, practical, team-focused and able to work effectively in an airport ground equipment maintenance environment.
